Rectiles — Privacy policy

Rectiles ("the app") is a logic puzzle game published by TLL Developers ("we"). This policy explains what data the app processes and why.

1. Data that stays on your device

Your game progress (puzzles in progress, stars, coins, streaks, achievements, settings) is stored only on your device. We do not collect it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

2. Data processed when you use online features

Friends and daily ranking (optional). When you open the app with a connection, the app creates an anonymous account (Firebase Authentication, by Google) so you can add friends. We store on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore):

• a random player identifier and a 6-character friend code;
• a generated nickname such as "Clever Fox 42" (you can shuffle a new one at any time; free text is not allowed);
• the list of players you added as friends;
• your time, number of hints and a check value of the solution for each daily puzzle you solve, so your friends can see the ranking.

No email, phone number, real name, contacts or location are collected. You can delete all of this at any time in Settings → Delete my online data.

Challenges. A challenge link contains the puzzle seed, size, difficulty, the time to beat and the generated nickname. It is shared only when you decide to send it.

3. Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: interstitial ads between some puzzles and optional rewarded videos. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice in Settings → Privacy options. AdMob may collect the advertising ID, IP address, approximate location and device information to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Buying "Remove ads" stops interstitial ads (and banners, if they are ever enabled); optional rewarded videos stay available only when you choose to watch them.

4. Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played (for example, puzzles started and finished, hints used, purchases), using pseudonymous identifiers. We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, Android version, app version and the technical state of the app when it failed) so we can fix bugs. We do not use this data to identify you.

5. Purchases

In-app purchases ("Remove ads" and the starter pack) are processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive your payment details; we only receive a purchase confirmation (product and purchase status) to deliver what you bought.

6. Notifications

If you allow them, reminders ("today's puzzle is ready", "your streak is at risk") are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to do this.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families program.

8. Retention and your rights

Online data is kept until you delete it from the app (Settings → Delete my online data) or ask us to. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by writing to us.
